Practice Profile:
Christel's interests are asylum and immigration, human rights, public law, housing and crime.

She has experience of advocacy in the Employment Tribunal with the FRU and in the County Court as a Duty Adviser in possession proceedings.

Prior to pupillage, Christel was the Legal Policy Officer on the Women's Project at Asylum Aid where she was responsible for all legal content and researched and authored reports on gender and asylum law and procedure. She has maintained her involvement with the charity and is now a member of the Women's Project Advisory Committee.

Christel also worked as an asylum and immigration caseworker at Wilson Solicitors LLP representing asylum seekers from initial claims through to appeals and judicial reviews and fresh claims. Christel also did an internship with the Immigration Advisory Service researching country of origin information and was a legal intern at the European Council for Refugees and Exiles.
