Joanna Toch

Year of Call: 1988

Practice Profile:
Joanna started at the criminal Bar undertaking pupillage in the Chambers of Ann Goddard QC. Joanna then left the Bar to teach barristers at the Inns of Court School of Law for two years. At this time Joanna was part of the Great Britain rowing team. On return to the Bar in 1992 Joanna undertook a civil pupillage and practised in both family and criminal work for a further four years and thereafter specialised in all aspects of family work for a further six years.
In 2002 Joanna moved to work in solicitors' practices for seven years taking cases from start to finish, including complex ancillary relief matters. Joanna returned to the Bar in 2009 and currently deals with all aspects of family law, particularly enjoying financial work and children matters.

Membership:
Joanna is an accredited mediator and member of the FLBA and FMA.

Interests:
Joanna competed in two Olympic Games, seven World Championships and a Commonwealth Games as part of the Great Britain rowing team, has a World Championship silver medal and was in the first women’s crew to row at Henley. She continues to enjoy the outdoor life and walking her dogs.
