Further appointment within Lamb Building

November 25, 2011

Chambers congratulates Mark Blundell, who joined Lamb Building as a pupil in October 2011, on his appointment as a Fee-Paid Judge of the First Tier Tribunal. He was appointed by the Lord Chancellor on 10 November 2011 and was assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber. He will be sitting at the Hatton Cross hearing centre.

Mark began pupillage in chambers after over 11 years in the Home Office as a Presenting Officer and a Senior Presenting Officer. He has appeared in dozens of test cases in the Upper Tribunal, including a number of Country Guidance cases and appeals heard by judges of the High Court and Court of Appeal. In addition to his own advocacy, he worked closely with Treasury Solicitors on many significant cases in the Court of Appeal, House of Lords and Supreme Court.
