Ani specialises in Crime, with experience defending a broad range of criminal cases including sexual offences, violence, offensive weapons and firearms, drug-dealing and burglary. She also has experience in proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

Ani has represented vulnerable youths and adults with mental health issues and learning disabilities, and appears in cases with particularly vulnerable witnesses. She has experience of assisting professional and lay clients negotiate the trial process in such cases and is frequently commended for being a down to earth and approachable individual with a meticulous eye for detail.

Ani is regularly privately instructed to advise in all aspects of criminal work and receives instructions to appear in the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court.

Before joining Chambers, Ani worked at a London based criminal solicitor’s firm, gaining an understanding of the way in which cases are litigated, allowing her to better assist Instructing Solicitors.
