Lamb Building has a wide experience of public law acting both for and against public authorities in judicial review claims, public law housing matters and homelessness appeals. Chambers has been selected to provide specialist advice and representation in the areas of homelessness, housing and administrative law by twenty-five London and provincial local authorities. We act for claimants and defendants in applications for ASBOs, ASBIs, exclusion and other protective orders.

We act as prosecutors for public authorities in all areas of enforcement from Education Act prosecutions to planning and environmental regulation.

Police Law

We also act for police authorities, especially in applications for protective orders. Members of chambers have achieved a number of ‘firsts’ for our clients. These include the first ever mother and daughter ASBO, the first ASBO to result in a wide ranging prohibition of drinking and nuisance telephone calls to the emergency services and the first Foreign Travel Order to be granted.
