Andrew’s work comprises all aspects of Children Law with particular specialism in complex care proceedings. He has extensive experience in the following areas;
Applications for residence, contact, specific issue and prohibited steps orders.
Applications for emergency protection orders.
Applications for care, supervision and adoption orders.
Applications under the Family Law Act 1996.
Sexual, physical and emotional abuse allegation cases.
Non-accidental injury cases concerning children.
Cases involving parents with extensive substance misuse, alcohol addiction, mental health problems.
Andrew’s professional abilities include:
Dealing with cases where there is a continuing and intractable dispute about children.
Dealing with clients who often have heightened levels of stress and anxiety.
In deciding and implementing the appropriate client care strategy to use.
Being forthright and effective in communicating his advice to both professional and lay clients.
Immigration, Asylum & Human Rights Law
Andrew’s expertise and experience is wide ranging and includes the following;
All stages of Immigration and Asylum Hearings.
Bail hearings.
Entry Clearance appeals.
Administrative Court (High Court) and Court of Appeal work, including obtaining emergency injunctions and drafting grounds for Judicial Review and ‘out of hours’ applications to High Court Judges.
EEA appeals
Drafting written advices/opinions.
Advising professional and lay clients in conferences.
Andrew’s professional abilities and experience also include some of the following areas;
Extensive experience when dealing with multi-cultural clients.
Cross-jurisdictional experience of both Family Law and Immigration, Asylum law & Human Rights Law has proved crucial in Court and when required to give written advice.
Extensive experience of advocacy involving the use of interpreters.
Experience as a Court appointed expert witness on immigration law within family proceedings, drafting expert reports on matters instructed on.

Interests
A keen interest in filmmaking in my earlier years. I won a national film making competition in 1998, with a short film called ‘Chinese Takeout’, which I co-directed, produced and acted in.
I have a keen love of sports, especially cricket, being the Captain of Cricket at Rugby School.
