Yasmeen practices in all areas of Family Law, with a keen interest in Public Law Care proceedings.
In Public Law Care proceedings Yasmeen represents Local Authorities, Parents, Guardians and Intervenors.
Yasmeen represents a multiplicity of people who have suffered from domestic violence, sexual abuse, financial hardship, alcohol and/or drug misuse and mental health and learning difficulties. She has been involved in a number of cases where capacity to litigate has been an issue and has been assisted by mental health advocates.
Yasmeen has represented parents at fact finding hearings who have faced allegations of causing non-accidental injury to children.
Yasmeen has been involved in cases with forced marriage and honour based violence issues and where the involvement of a Special Advocate was required.
In Private Law proceedings Yasmeen has represented parties to applications for leave to remove children from the jurisdiction and internal relocation cases. She has also represented parties who are not habitually resident in the UK.
Yasmeen has vast experience representing sensitive and vulnerable clients in injunctive proceedings under the Family Law Act and Children Act applications from first appointment to final hearing.
Yasmeen also represents parties to Financial Order applications and within divorce proceedings. She has particular experience representing Intervenors.
Yasmeen enjoys representing an array of clients and tackles each case with a practical approach.
