Natalie Turner, instructed by Lucas Franca-Landure of ACA Law, successfully appealed against her client’s sentence for Class A drugs supply offences, resulting in a significant reduction to sentence.

Natalie’s client was sentenced in the Crown Court to 6 years and 4 months’ imprisonment for drugs supply offences involving large quantities of heroin and cocaine. Natalie argued that the sentencing Judge took a starting point that was too high and then failed to apply appropriate reduction for mitigating factors. The resulting sentence was therefore manifestly excessive. Natalie’s submissions were accepted by the Court of Appeal and the sentence was reduced by 12 months’ imprisonment.
