James Hay and Charlotte Arundale’s lay client was today acquitted of Attempted Murder at Birmingham Crown Court.

The Crown’s case was that this defendant, in a revenge attack outside an ‘Adult Entertainment Establishment’ drove his car across a road and on to the pavement, driving his vehicle over the body of the complainant in a deliberate attempt to kill him, whilst another person escaped.

Following lengthy discussions with the Crown and numerous court hearings, the matter was today resolved by way of a guilty plea to s.18 GBH, resulting in a sentence of 7 years’ 10 months’ imprisonment.
